We learned a poem that helped us remember in a fun way one reason we need our bones.
I Have No Bones
I have no bones in my body. (Stand up tall with arms stretched high)
I have no bones in my fingers. (fingers flop down)
I have no bones in my hands. ( hands bend at wrists)
I have no bones in my shoulders or arms. (arms flop down like wet spaghetti to our sides swinging loosely)
I don't know where they will land.
I have no bones in my back.( Bend down with hands touching the floor)
I have no bones in my knees. (knees bend to the floor)
So I will fall to the floor in a lump, lump, lump, and lay as still as I please.
